THE “WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO MY BODY?” CLUB

I DIDN’T LET MYSELF GO.MY HORMONES WENT FERAL.SO I STOPPED PLAYING NICE.

I was lifting, eating protein, and blaming myself while perimenopause moved everything to my stomach and fucked with the thermostat.

HORMONES MUSCLE METABOLIC HEALTH REAL TALK

Hey, I’m Ashley.

I’m 42. Three daughters. A full-time career in healthcare strategy. And a body that started making executive decisions without me.

The weights were getting lifted. The protein was getting eaten. Somehow, I was still puffy, exhausted, and inspecting photos like I was investigating a missing person. Where the hell was I?

I stopped making “be more disciplined” the answer to every damn question. I worked with my providers and looked at hormones, sleep, and metabolic health alongside my training and nutrition. 25.3 pounds later, I’m sharing the whole story. Less puff. More me.

MORE THAN A BEFORE & AFTER

I didn’t need another
“just try harder.”

Nothing makes you question yourself quite like doing the work and feeling worse in your own clothes. I didn’t suddenly discover protein or pick up a dumbbell. I was already there. HRT became part of my care, and I added GLP-1/GIP therapy on April 11, 2026. The lifting, protein, and work on sleep stayed.

The before-and-after gets the attention. What I noticed day to day was quieter food noise, better sleep, and finally feeling more like myself. Several things changed in my routine, so I can’t pin all of that on one treatment. Same woman. Different strategy.

“I train to be a problem, not a patient”— Ashley

My experience is personal. It isn’t a promise of what someone else will experience.

MY PROGRESS, BEYOND THE SCALE

The scale got attention.
I tracked more.

What changed in my routine during perimenopause?

I worked with my providers on hormone care and metabolic support while continuing strength training, protein, and work on sleep. My progress reflects that whole routine.

What should I ask before exploring treatment?

Ask the provider about eligibility, risks, alternatives, total cost, and ongoing support. My experience can start a conversation; your care needs to fit you.

LET’S KEEP IT REAL

You can ask
the awkward question.

01

Yes, an actual person.

Three kids. A job. Hormones that still hormone. Nobody here is floating through life in matching linen. Ask me what it actually looked like.

02

My experience. Their medical expertise.

I can share my story and point you toward Pepteeva Health. A licensed clinician needs to assess whether treatment is appropriate for you.

03

You don’t need a perfect question.

“I’ve read this twice and still don’t know where to start” counts. Tell me what you’re curious about. I can share my experience and point you toward the right information.

Interested, but where do I actually start?

Start with Pepteeva Health through my link. Explore the available programs, review the current prices and terms, and follow the intake steps if you want to pursue care. Exploring the options is a starting point; a licensed clinician decides whether a prescription is appropriate.

What do people mean by “the weight loss shot”?

It’s a broad term, not the name of one medication. Ask the prescribing clinician which medication is being offered, whether it is FDA-approved or compounded, and what its benefits, risks, and alternatives are.

Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved. The FDA does not review them for safety, effectiveness, or quality before marketing.

Can I just copy your routine?

My routine is a conversation starter, not your prescription. Your health history and medications matter. Tell your clinician if you’re pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning a pregnancy, too. They’ll help you decide what’s appropriate for you.

Okay, but how long does it take?

I’d love to hand you a date. Bodies don’t work that way. My timeline belongs to my starting point, care, and daily habits. Ask your clinician what progress could look like for you and when to check in.

Can you help with medical or dosing questions?

I share my personal experience as an affiliate. I don’t prescribe or choose doses. Questions about side effects, medication changes, or dosing should go directly to your prescribing clinician or pharmacist.
